1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Semora ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Semora is a mobile application that helps students manage their academic tasks, deadlines, and grades. The App provides syllabus scanning powered by AI, task management, grade tracking, and calendar synchronization features.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Semora offers both free and paid subscription tiers ("Semora Pro").
Pro subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Prices are displayed in the App before purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
Free trial periods, if offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies.

5. Free Tier Limitations

The free tier includes limited syllabus scans, a limited number of courses per semester, same-day deadline reminders, and basic grade display. Pro features include unlimited scans and courses, grade scale customization, advance reminders, and calendar synchronization.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data.
Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
Interfere with the App's functionality or attempt to reverse-engineer it.

7. AI-Powered Features

The App uses artificial intelligence to extract information from syllabus documents. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted information. Semora is not liable for missed deadlines or incorrect information resulting from AI processing.

8. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Semora. Your academic data remains your property.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected.

11. Limitation of Liability

Semora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to missed deadlines, incorrect grade calculations, or data loss.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
